This book presents a research study of the sexual attitudes and practices of women with incest histories, including both statistical and anecdotal findings.

Myths abound regarding the sexuality of women who were incestuously abused as children - for example, that they are. Among other items included in the appendices is the authors extensive questionnaire, which is likely to stimulate more research on women's sexuality after childhood incest, to encourage clinicians to ask survivors about their sexual attitudes and behaviors, and to guide women themselves as they evaluate their sexuality.

This book challenges the myths andstereotypes that surround women with incest histories and their sexuality. Despite the rapidly changing research on incest, the author does not acknowledge new facts or insights.

There are other problems with this book that limit its usefulness. The author acquired her 43 subjects from "self-help support groups," seriously compromising her ability to generalize her findings to women.
